On 31 December you can hire the entire Spielzimmer exclusively for a private New Year’s Eve party and arrange the evening with your own food, drinks and decorations. Unlike our New Year’s Day breakfast, this is a self-catering hire without service staff.

A New Year’s Day breakfast with children should be relaxing for everyone. While the adults enjoy breakfast and conversation, the children can explore our different play areas.
Our indoor playground in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg gives children plenty of opportunities to move, climb, slide and play. After breakfast, many children are ready to leave the table and explore. With a slide, ball pit and other activities, they can have fun indoors even on New Year’s Day , whether it is raining, snowing or cold outside.

The Spielzimmer Family Café is located at Schliemannstraße 37 in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, right by Helmholtzplatz.
Our central location makes the café a lovely meeting place for families from Prenzlauer Berg, Pankow and other parts of Berlin.
Especially on 1 January, a cosy indoor venue with play areas for children is an ideal place to start the year together, whatever the winter weather.
Families with babies and younger children can also spend the first day of the year with us. For our youngest guests, we have a separate age-appropriate toddler play area. Here, babies and toddlers can play with their parents or other accompanying adults, make their first discoveries and return to the breakfast table whenever they like.
After breakfast, you can round off New Year’s Day with a stroll around Helmholtzplatz.
