I’d like to book a party, but my preferred date isn’t showing in the booking calendar.
If your preferred date isn’t available in the booking calendar, unfortunately it has already been booked. In this case, please look for an alternative date. Thank you for your understanding.
Can I bring my own cake to the birthday party?
We make a small exception for birthday parties and allow you to bring your own birthday cake. However, there is a €20 cake service charge if you choose to do so.
Do you offer birthday cakes for guests with allergies?
Yes, we also offer birthday cakes for guests with dietary requirements. We have a selection of vegan cakes made without animal products or nuts, which may be suitable for many guests with allergies. If you have specific requirements, please get in touch. We’ll be happy to help you find a suitable cake for your special day.
Can more than ten children attend the birthday party?
Our birthday packages are priced for up to ten children, but additional children are welcome. Each extra child costs 10% of the selected package price.
Can we invite more adults to the birthday party?
Unfortunately, we have a limited number of tables and also need to accommodate our regular café guests. If you’re planning to invite a larger number of adults, please contact us in advance so we can work out a suitable arrangement together.
Does the birthday package include food and drinks for adults?
The food and drinks included in our birthday packages are intended for children only. Adults are welcome to purchase delicious coffee, waffles, cakes and other treats from our café counter.
Can I bring my own decorations for the birthday party?
We already decorate our kids’ café with colourful birthday decorations. Our birthday tables are prepared with colourful plates, cups, napkins and balloons.
You’re welcome to bring additional table decorations or balloons on the day of your party. Alternatively, you can drop them off at the café one or two days beforehand and we’ll happily incorporate them into the decorations.
If you have a preferred colour scheme for the birthday table, just let us know. We’ll do our best to accommodate your wishes.
Can we choose our own party times?
Unfortunately, the booking time slots cannot be freely selected. We generally offer one morning and one afternoon time slot for birthday parties, so we’re usually unable to change the advertised times.
However, on weekdays we may be able to arrange a more flexible time. Please contact us to discuss this.
How far in advance should I book a birthday party?
Many weekend birthday party dates are booked around four to six weeks in advance. We therefore recommend booking early, as your preferred date may otherwise be unavailable.
Is there an unlimited coffee and tea option for adults?
Yes. We also offer an unlimited coffee and tea package for parents, grandparents and other adult guests, allowing you to enjoy coffee and tea throughout your booked birthday celebration.
Please note that this option is only valid during your birthday party and must be booked for all participating adults. It cannot be booked for individual adults only.

How Much Does a Kids’ Birthday Party Cost in Berlin?
At Spielzimmer Kids’ Café, a birthday party for up to 10 children costs between €125 and €175. That’s €12.50 to €17.50 per child for three hours – including a decorated birthday table, birthday cake, drinks and use of our play areas. From Monday to Thursday you get 10% off all birthday packages.
Example Costs for Your Kids’ Birthday Party
- 8 children, Standard Birthday Package, Saturday: €150. The package price covers up to 10 children – even if fewer guests come.
- 10 children, Premium Birthday Package, Tuesday: €175 minus 10% discount = €157.50.
- 12 children, Premium Birthday Package, Sunday: €175 + 2 × €17.50 for the extra children = €210. Each extra child costs 10% of the package price.
Possible Additional Costs
- Adults: The birthday packages are intended for the children. Parents and grandparents can order coffee, waffles and cake at the counter – or you can add our unlimited coffee and tea package. It is valid during your party and is booked for all participating adults.
- Your own birthday cake: You’re welcome to bring your own cake. In this case we charge a €20 cake service fee.
- Extra children: 10% of the package price per additional child.
Admission to the play areas is already included in the birthday package. If you’re planning a big party with lots of adults, you can also hire the whole kids’ café exclusively.
Celebrate a First Birthday in Berlin – and a 2nd or 3rd Birthday Too
A child’s first birthday is a very special milestone for many families. The second and third birthdays are often celebrated with grandparents, friends and other families with young children too.
For babies and toddlers in particular, choosing the right birthday party venue matters. Large play centres are often noisy and overwhelming for little ones. At Spielzimmer Kids’ Café, by contrast, there is a separate toddler area with a crawling corner and ball pit – and the adults sit right next to it.
Celebrating a 1st Birthday in Berlin – Small and Cosy
At one year old, your child doesn’t need a big party. A small gathering with parents, grandparents, siblings or godparents is usually just right. That’s what our reserved birthday table for up to 4 people is for: 1¾ hours with a decorated table, birthday cake, a drink and play time – from €50. The Large Birthday Table for €75 also includes a fruit or vegetable platter.
That leaves time for what a first birthday is all about: tasting cake, taking photos, opening presents – while your child explores the crawling corner in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg in between.
Tips for a First Birthday at the Kids’ Café
- Time: Choose the time slot that fits your child’s nap routine. We offer one morning and one afternoon slot for birthday parties.
- Cake: We also have vegan cakes – if anyone has allergies, just let us know in advance.
- Socks: It’s a good idea to pack socks for your child – not a must, but more comfortable for playing and crawling.
- Prams: Prams and buggies must be left outside the café.

If the whole family is coming with lots of adults, it’s more relaxed to hire the whole kids’ café for up to 50 people.

At two or three years old, birthdays become exciting: playing with other children, climbing, sliding and trying new things. Now it’s worth inviting a few friends from nursery.
The youngest play in their own area, while the braver ones are already trying the slide. For a party with several children, our birthday packages for up to 10 children are the right choice.

Celebrating a 4th, 5th or 6th Birthday in Berlin
From the age of four, a birthday becomes a big party with friends: children invite their nursery group, play together and look forward to cake and presents. Our birthday packages for up to 10 children give you three hours – enough time to arrive, eat cake, play and say goodbye.
A 4th Birthday Party
At four, many children celebrate with several friends. With four-year-olds, some parents often stay for the party. Our Basic Birthday Package for €125 is usually all you need. Younger siblings can play in the separate toddler area.
A 5th Birthday Party
Five-year-olds climb, slide and play together for longer. Often half the nursery group is invited. For longer parties we recommend the Premium Birthday Package for €175 with hot dogs, chicken sausages or pasta for all the children – so there’s a proper meal too. If more than 10 children come, each additional child costs 10% of the package price.
A 6th Birthday Party
At six, many children are about to start school – so the last birthday with their nursery friends is something special. Our kids’ café is fun for children up to about 8 years old: the climbing frame, slide and ball pit keep everyone moving, while cake and presents wait at the decorated birthday table. If you’d like to celebrate with friends in a play area that’s easy to keep an eye on, you’ve come to the right place.
Tips for Parties with Nursery and Preschool Children
- Book early: Weekend dates are often booked 4 to 6 weeks in advance.
- Save on weekdays: Monday to Thursday you get 10% off. On weekdays we can also adjust the time individually by arrangement.
- Favourite colours: We decorate the birthday table colourfully with plates, cups, napkins and balloons. Let us know if you have a preferred colour scheme. You can bring extra table decorations or balloons on the day or drop them off at the café one or two days beforehand.
- Allergies: We offer vegan birthday cakes.
- Adults: If lots of parents are staying for the party, please let us know in advance – our tables are limited.
Big kids’ birthday party? Hire the whole kids’ café
Your private party for up to 50 people.
Is the whole nursery group coming, or is the family celebrating with lots of adults? Then you can book Spielzimmer for a private party. The café, indoor playground and toddler area are then yours alone – with a member of staff and a buffet tailored to you.
For 3.5 hours, a minimum spend from €750 applies.
