We are happy to host your family events and celebrations for up to 50 people – whether it’s a children’s birthday, baby shower, or school enrollment party. For children’s birthdays, you can use our café if you like: we reserve and decorate the tables so you can celebrate in a cozy setting. If you prefer more exclusivity, you have the option to book the entire family café for a private event.
We provide delicious fresh cake and homemade waffles, and if you would like custom catering, we are also happy to arrange that upon request.

A birthday is the most important day of the year for every child – and our Kindercafé Spielzimmer in Prenzlauer Berg offers the perfect stage for it. With countless attractions, every children’s party here becomes an unforgettable experience.
In the indoor playground, climbing frame, ball pit, slide, and much more await little adventurers who crave action and movement. For the youngest up to three years old, there is a dedicated toddler area where a small ball pit and large building blocks bring bright smiles.
Creative minds are also catered for: ride-on cars, baby walkers, a dress-up box, and a variety of balls invite children to try things out, create, and play. This way, kids with very different needs all get their share – whether it’s wild romping or relaxed, creative play. With us, every child should feel completely at ease and enjoy their big day to the fullest.
We are, of course, happy to fulfill additional wishes upon request whenever possible – because every birthday child should experience their big day just the way they’ve dreamed of.
Parents can look forward to shining children’s eyes while the birthday child and their guests enjoy unforgettable moments at Spielzimmer. The big advantage: instead of spending hours planning, cooking, tidying up, and cleaning, you can simply leave all of that to us – and enjoy the party in a relaxed way.
If there should be no available dates, we are happy to recommend Kindercafé Kreuzzwerg in Berlin-Kreuzberg as a wonderful alternative for your child’s birthday.
Birthday FAQ
If your desired date is not available in the selection, it is unfortunately already booked. In this case, we can only ask you to look for an alternative date. Thank you very much.
For a birthday party, we make a small exception and allow you to bring a birthday cake. However, in this case we charge a consumption fee of 20 euros.
We have calculated our bookable birthday packages for up to 10 children. However, more children are welcome to attend the booked birthday party. We charge 10% of the package price for each additional child.
Unfortunately, the number of tables is very limited – and we would also like to do justice to our walk-in customers. If you are planning to bring a larger number of adults, we would therefore like to ask you to contact us in advance. This way we can find a solution together. Thank you very much.
The components of the bookable birthday packages are only intended for the children. You can get delicious coffee, waffles and cake for the adults at our counter.
For birthdays, we already equip the children’s café with colourful decorations. We adorn the tables with colourful plates, cups, napkins and balloons.
You are welcome to add to our decorations and bring more table decorations or balloons directly to the birthday party. Or you can bring the additional decorations to the café one or two days before the birthday. In that case, we will be happy to incorporate them directly.
If you have any colour wishes for the decoration of the birthday table please let us know. We will then try to implement them.
Unfortunately, you cannot freely choose the time slots when booking. We have a time slot for birthday parties in the morning and in the afternoon. For this reason, we are usually unable to change the set times.
Only during the week can we adjust the date individually. Please feel free to contact us!
Many weekend birthday party dates are booked approximately 4 to 6 weeks in advance. Therefore, it can unfortunately happen that your desired date is already taken.
Alternatively, birthday parties during the week can be arranged. Here we can plan the start of the party individually – and it is usually a bit quieter in the children’s café than at the weekend.

Reserved, festively decorated birthday tables for your family celebration with children in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg are already a great thing. But how about having the entire Kindercafé (for example on New Year’s Eve) just for you and your guests? We are happy to make this wish for exclusive celebrations with children come true for you. So go ahead and book the entire birthday location just for yourselves. We offer your private party space for up to 50 people. Celebrate with us for half a day (3.5 hours) or let your party with children go on for the whole day (8 hours). Other time frames are possible upon request.

Book your private event easily online
As a private event, you enjoy our full service:
- You can easily book your family celebration as a private event online on this page. (Please note that booking is only possible online.)
- One week before your celebration, we will personally discuss all your individual wishes with you – to make sure your family celebration with children is a great success.
- Before your celebration, you make a deposit – either directly upon booking via PayPal or in cash on-site within a few days. The remaining amount is paid at the end of the celebration.
- On the big day, you simply arrive comfortably at our family café and enjoy your individual celebration as a private event.
When you book the café as a private event, we close it to all other guests. This means we miss out on revenue. The agreed minimum revenue of €750 therefore consists of €300 for room rental/staff costs and €450 for food and drinks. If effort and consumption exceed the calculated revenue guarantee, the final invoice may be higher.
